Dave and Chris D’Angelo of D’Angelo European Auto Sales out in Hillsboro (about 15 miles west of Portland) deserve a very solid thumbs-up after the experience I had with them. These guys have done EVERYTHING to make my life easier – the kind of stuff car dealers never even think about like having my windows tinted for me, meeting me in Portland to pick up my wheels and have them mounted up for me, etc. They’re both a lot of fun to talk to, know their stuff, are completely sold out enthusiasts, and on top of all that treat you quite fairly and price their cars very competitively. If anyone’s looking for a used VW/Audi right now I’d definitely suggest making a call to them and seeing what they have in stock or might be able to get for you. They even have the out-of-town buyer thing all figured out – the day Dave met me in Portland to pick up my wheels he had just flown back in from driving a car up to Seattle for a buyer.

I’m just really, really impressed by these guys’ obvious overboard interest in leaving you so satisfied you can’t help but do what I’m doing now – rave madly about them on the forums, in the streets, etc. It was seriously the kind of experience that made me want to buy two cars from them just because it went so well.

I recently have purchased an 05 Jetta GLI from D’Angelo Auto Sales. Let me say that working with David was one of the best car buying experiences of my life. Have bought from D’Angelo Auto Sales twice now and either experience could not have gone better! First purchase was a 2000 VW Jetta in ’01 with 20k miles.
